Morning Prayers to Start Your Day

ANIMA CHRISTI

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passon of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Your wounds, shelter me.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
From the evil one, protect me.
In the hour of my death, call me, and bid me come to You.
That with Your saints, I may praise You, forever and ever.

Amen.

ACT OF ADORATION

O great God, the sovereign Lord of heaven and earth, I prostrate myself before Thee. With all the Angels and Saints I adore Thee, I acknowledge Thee to be my Creator  and sovereign Lord, my first beginning and last end. I render to Thee the homage of my being and life. I submit myself to Thy holy Will, and I devote myself to Thy divine service this day and forever.

Amen.

MORNING CONSECRATION TO MARY

My Queen, my Mother, I offer myself entirely to you. And to show you my devotion, I offer you this day my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, my whole being without reserve. Good Mother, guard and protect me as your own child.

Amen.

PRAYER FOR CONSECRATION OF THE DAY

O Lord God, King of heaven and earth, may it please Thee this day to order and to hallow, to rule and to govern our hearts and our bodies, our thoughts, our words, and our works, according to Thy law and in doing of Thy commandments, that we, being helped by Thee, may here and hereafter worthily be saved, and delivered by Thee, O Savior of the world, who lives and reigns forever and ever.

Amen.

MORNING OFFERING

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the needs of all my family and friends, and in particular, for the intentions of the Holy Father. I wish to gain all the indulgences attached to the prayers I shall say and to the good works I shall do this day.

Amen.

PRAYER BEFORE A CRUCIFIX

Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight, and with the most fervent desire of my soul I pray and beseech Thee that Thou wouldst impress upon my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope, and charity, with true repentance of my sins and a firm desire of amendment, whilst with deep affection and grief of soul I ponder within myself and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious wounds, having before mine eyes that which the Prophet David spoke of Thee,  O good Jesus: They have pierced My hands and My feet; they have numbered all My bones.

Amen.

(followed by Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be for the intentions of the Holy Father)

PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit,
that my thoughts may all be holy.

Move in me, Holy Spirit,
that my work, too, may be holy.

Attract my heart, Holy Spirit,
that I may love only what is holy.

Strengthen me, Holy Spirit,
that I may defend all that is holy.

Protect me, Holy Spirit,
that I may always be holy.

Amen.

COME HOLY, SPIRIT

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the heart of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created; and You will renew the face of the earth.
O God, You taught the hearts of Your faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that  by the gift the same Spirit, we may be truly wise and always rejoice in His consolation. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

PRAYER TO THE HOLY FAMILY

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace without fear or human respect openly to profess, as we ought, the Faith which was given to us in baptism. To share, as we ought, in the defense and propagation of the Faith when duty calls, whether by word or by the sacrifice of our fortunes and our lives; To conform our lives, as we ought, to the precepts of God and of the Church, so as to live always in that charity which they set forth.

Amen.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

My Jesus, I believe that Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament. I love Thee above all things, and I desire Thee in my Soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. As though Thou were already there, I embrace Thee and unite myself wholly to Thee; permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee.

Amen.
